The largest area shopping centre is Southcentre Mall (Anderson Rd at Macleod Trail), with other shopping and a movie multiplex in Shaughnessy off Macleod Trail, via 22X.
Recreation:
43-acre Lake McKenzie and the adjacent 20-acre park with beach house provides community activities like boating, fishing, skating, swimming, picnicking and tennis. Members of the residents association pay annual fees of between $250 for most homes to $500 for lakefront lots.

On the west edge of the community, is the McKenzie Meadows Golf Club, on the bank of the Bow River. To its north is a pedestrian bridge across the Bow, with access to Fish Creek Provincial Park. The park also encompasses Lake Sikome, Fish Creek and connects fully to Calgary's extensive recreational pathway system.
