Shopping:
While Mahogany is being developed, shopping facilities are close at hand. South Trail Crossing hosts most major big box retail outlets while McKenzie town is home to many restaurants, Sobey's for your groceries, banks and other service providers.

The developers have planned an Urban Village with shops and meeting places for friends and family and the convenience of it residents. Seton, a new community immediately to the SW of Mahogany is currently being developed and house many of the big box retail outlets.

Recreation:
In addition to the lake, Mahogany is proud its 74 acres of naturalized wetlands and 22 kms of community pathways. This highlight of the community park system features a ring of pathways and interpretive areas surrounding scenic naturalized wetlands, and is a destination for residents who wish to stroll, cycle or jog in a quiet natural setting. Many species of birds and small animals will be attracted to the area, making it the ideal place to explore and relax amongst nature.

Mahogany’s spectacular open space system weaves throughout the community and is one of its most distinctive features. Within the system, a network of large sports fields, smaller neighbourhood parks, wetlands and beach areas can all be easily accessed via a linking pathway, often after only walking a very short distance from home.
